New Marvel Snap Card – Mirage – Showcase, Decks, Counters, Synergies

Peculiar card indeed.

Mirage is a very interesting Marvel Snap card that will certainly create some interesting plays and open up the gates of RNG hell just for the mayhem-loving viewers of Twitch highlights. It’s the last card that we get during July 2023 and I can’t wait to present this card showcase, as well as the decks and synergies for Mirage, and perhaps some counters. Here’s everything we know about Mirage in Marvel Snap.

What Does Mirage Do in Marvel Snap?

Mirage is a 2-Energy cost, 2-Power card with the following effect:

On Reveal: Copy the lowest-Cost card in your opponent’s hand into your hand. Give it +2 Power.

If you missed the previous card release analysis check out the New Marvel Snap card – Legion – showcase, decks, counters, synergies.

Looks pretty neat, and unlike with some other cards like Agent 13, Agent Coulson, or Nick Fury, you have a pretty narrow pool of cards that you can get, and those are the cards your opponent willingly put in their deck. Of course, hand size and hand content change throughout the game, so results may vary a lot.

How Good is Mirage in Marvel Snap?

It is difficult to tell. I mean, the worst-case scenario is you will be getting a Rock that will have 2 Power due to the ability of Mirage. That ain’t a complete disaster. Let’s toss out a few more ideas to think about:

  • Stealing a 0-Cost card that costs zero because of Mister Negative, gets you a potentially very powerful card.
  • Stealing a Thanos Stone that allows you to cycle through cards faster.
  • Stealing a Stature that triggered its effect and now costs 1.

However, I believe that the biggest power does not lie in Mirage, but instead in the synergies that are available. Here’s the deck where you will be able to fit in Mirage perfectly:

# (1) Agent 13 # (1) Quinjet # (2) Spider-Ham # (2) The Collector # (2) Zabu # (3) Cosmo # (3) Agent Coulson # (4) Absorbing Man # (4) Shang-Chi # (4) Nick Fury # (5) Devil Dinosaur # (5) Sera  eyJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUXVpbmpldCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQWdlbnQxMyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGV2aWxEaW5vc2F1ciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiWmFidSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2hhbmdDaGkifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkNvc21vIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBYnNvcmJpbmdNYW4ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFnZW50Q291bHNvbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2VyYSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTmlja0Z1cnkifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlRoZUNvbGxlY3RvciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3BpZGVySGFtIn1dfQ==

The synergy of Mirage with the Collector, Quinjet, and Devil Dinosaur is purely natural. I am playing this deck a lot of times with decent results, despite all the random factors. You can try playing it without Cosmo or Spider-Ham, for example. If you are a Black Bolt player, think about all of the cards that you have discarded with the effect. They could be yours!

Some players think it would be a good card in Bounce, but I am not so sure at this moment.

When it comes to countering Mirage, it’s difficult. You don’t want to run garbage in your deck on purpose, and sometimes it may be too early for Cosmo, but in all reality, the biggest counter that you can provide is to be aware of what card your opponent could have gotten and to be prepared for the play.

Should I Buy Mirage in Marvel Snap? Is it Worth Buying?

If you are into the type of deck that I’ve posted above, definitely give it a shot. As much as I am enthusiastic about this card, I am not that enthusiastic to spend Collector’s Tokens on it immediately. There are cards that I want more, simply, despite being nearly 100% complete with the collection. However, be 100% sure that I will be spending the day testing Mirage out the moment I get the card from the chest.

That’s all for Mirage Showcase. If you are up for more Marvel Snap reads here at Prima Games, make sure to check out How to get to Infinite rank in Marvel Snap: complete first-hand experience guide from a card game enthusiast and Everything you need to know about Conquest mode in Marvel Snap.
