New Marvel Snap Card – Stature – Showcase, Decks, Counters, Synergies

Enter Ant-Girl, newest Tech card.

Marvel Snap has released a new card that will somewhat mitigate the damage a certain type of deck is doing these days. Yes, this is about Stature (aka Cassandra “Cassie” Lang, Ant-Girl, Giant Girl, Stinger). This follows the Quantum theme of the current M.O.D.O.K. Season Pass, and of course, the release of the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania movie that’s been out since February 17. See below what Stature does and how you can best use it in Marvel Snap.

What Does Stature Do In Marvel Snap?

Stature seems to be a very situational tech card that works against a few types of decks, and it’s quite a garbage card on its own. You’ll see why when you see the stat line and the text.

  • Cost: 5
  • Power: 7
  • Effect Text: Costs 1 if your opponent discarded a card from their hand this game.

Well, the general expectancy of a 5-Cost card is 10 Power, more or less, depending on the effect. This one has only seven, but the effect is very broken if you want to counter M.O.D.O.K. decks that are played by every Season Pass buyer or Agatha variants that want to discard it with Lady Sif. In which case, the card would be busted. Strong as Ebony Maw but playable on Turn 6, in fact. Since this is a Pool / Series 5 card, approximately 90% of players (maybe even more) won’t see it for a long while, and by that time, discard decks will be out of fashion perhaps, who knows? At any rate, you should be informed about Stature in case you get it from Agent Coulson or through other random means.

Decks and Synergies for Stature in Marvel Snap

There are no specific decks that work extremely well with Stature except perhaps a KaZoo deck that won’t see the harm if you keep this card in your hand until the end of the match (that would be the point of a Tech card, I guess).

Maybe a Dino deck could use it too. On the other hand, you can force the opponent to discard a card with Moon Knight and Black Bolt (finally, a usage for Black Bolt). So basically, you can try playing a KaZoo Deck by removing two cards and tossing in Black Bolt and Stature. Moon Knight is risky in my opinion. I adore that he can ruin your opponent’s combo irreparably, but it can do the same to you too.

Counters for Stature in Marvel Snap

Don’t use a discard deck. And not just that – be ready to counter Black Bolt and Moon Knight with the likes of Cosmo. I really have nothing else to suggest, except generic floodgate cards like Professor X, I’m dry. At any rate, you shouldn’t worry too much because you will rarely see the card in-game until summer at least. You’ll have time to concede on Turn 6 if you foresee the arrival of Ant-Girl.

That’s it for this card showcase, people. Check out our other Marvel Snap stuff at the game tag below. See you soon at Prima Games!
