How to Take Screenshots in Xenoblade Chronicles 3?

Xenoblade Chronicle 3, unfortunately, doesn’t have a real photo mode like most modern games do. Still, the game has very nice camera control so you can get a good angle or zoom anyway. There are two ways to capture screenshots in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Screenshots with HUD in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

To take a standard screenshot, there is the usual capture or “screenshot” button on the Switch. Just set your camera manually and press the button. You can take screenshots in exploration, battles, menus, and even in the cutscenes.

Screenshots without HUD in Xenoblade Chronicles

To take screenshots without HUD (map, and other on-screen info), you need to press the L and R buttons at the same time. Once you do, the screen will flash for a second and your screenshot (without HUD) will be added to your Switch album, just as regular screenshots do.

This method works in exploration and battles, but it won’t work in cutscenes (where there is no HUD anyway).

Now you know all the ways to take a screenshot in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 until Monolith Soft decide to add a real photo mode to the game. Until then, go take some pictures and have fun!
