How to Get Silky Sand in Slime Rancher 2

Silky Sand is a resource found exclusively along sandy beaches. While this sounds simple at first, it requires two extra steps. The first is unlocking the teleporters to either Starlight Strand or Ember Valley and traveling to these regions. The second is getting the Resource Harvester from the Fabricator using 450 Newbucks and 10 Cotton Plorts.

If you don’t have Starlight Strand unlocked yet, you’ll have to feed the Cotton Gordo in southern Rainbow Field until it bursts. Doing this will open a cave directly connecting to the teleport unlock stone. Interact with this and head to the teleporter. Similarly, you’ll get Ember Valley’s teleporter by feeding the Pink Gordo in the northern part of the area.

Depending on the region, you’ll have different routes and strategies for finding Silky Sand. Below are some examples of places to explore:

  • Starlight Strand: Head southeast towards the main Angler Slime spawn location. Multiple Silky Sand geysers will be scattered as you travel north along the beach. Having the jetpack makes it much easier to navigate this area. A Hunter plort statue also connects this beach to the teleporter, but you can only unlock it after reaching the area once before.
  • Ember Valley: Go west out of the teleporter before heading south towards the beach. You’ll see Silky Sand geysers near the coastline.
