There are two methods for players to get Bath Salts in Hades 2. The first method is to purchase Bath Slats from the Wretched Broker, unlocked at the Crossroads after acquiring the Summoning of Mercantile Fortune Incantation.

The Wretched Broker sells Bath Salts for 50 Bones each, but has a limited supply. While players do not need an especially large supply of the resource, it can be inconvenient when the Broker is sold out of it when you need it.

The better method is to use the Silver Spade on digging spots located in various regions. The Gathering Tool costs 10 Silver, and players must have it equipped at the Silver Pools to be able to use it during the run.

Bath Salts are used to access the Crossroads Hot Springs, which is unlocked through the Rite of Vapor-Cleansing Incantation. Taking a dip in the giant hot tub has multiple uses of its own.

The first use is to speed up time by 12 encounters. This is perfect when you have multiple plants growing and would rather not spend time on another run.

The other use is to build affection with other characters at the Crossroads. Giving Nectar is one facet of building social links with characters, but can only work a couple of times. Giving certain characters Bath Salts will invite them to the Hot Springs, where players will receive a cutscene and more exposition to the plot and characters’ motivations.
