How to Finish the To Bunny, Our Beloved Daughter Mission in the First Descendant
The “To Bunny, Our Beloved Daughter” mission starts after several exclusive Bunny missions. You’ll go through the Complete the Traces, In Search of the Relic, and the missions and White-night Gulch to get to this chapter.
In this mission, you’ll only have to talk to Anais, the one in charge of all the research, and ask her to take you to the Abandoned Magister Lab. It’ll take you to the start of the mission, which is nothing extraordinary at the start. You’ll be tasked to go through the lab and eliminate some enemies. However, in the end, you’ll be greeted by an intimidating boss, the Shrieking Verves.
How to Beat Shrieking Verves in The First Descendant
The Shrieking Verves fight starts with a swarm of enemies and Shrieking Verves coming down from the 2nd floor. This boss has a few dangerous attacks. First, it has a strong one-shot projectile, but it takes a while to fire. He’ll point a laser toward you, which takes a few seconds to shoot. You must run to cover until you see the laser disappear or hear the shot fired.
Second, Shrieking Verves lobs a few explosive rounds in your direction. They are slow, so it’ll be easy to dodge. You must pay attention to it, especially when aiming and shooting with your weapon.
Third, Shrieking Verves generally hurts. He has no other targets, so he’ll only shoot you. The strategy is to stick next to a pillar where you can only see half his body and try to dance in and out of cover when you shoot the boss.
The boss also has an immune mechanic similar to the Alternate Hand of Nazeistra boss. When you go through a full bar of HP, the boss spawns orbs to make it immune. You have to destroy these orbs in the order they spawned. If you shoot down the wrong orb, Shrieking Verves respawns all the orbs. Your goal is to look at how the orbs spawn and their height. One is usually higher than the other and is a great way to track the orbs if you need to seek cover.
The Abandoned Magister Lab Rewards in The First Descendant
The Abandoned Magister Lab concludes the exclusive Bunny missions, but you still need to talk to the other NPCs in Albion to complete the story or mission. You’ll receive a Crystallization Catalyst reward, which is used to reset the level of a Descendant and improve the modules.
Think of it as a prestige mechanic in grindy games. It is a fitting reward since you might as well restart your Bunny character because finishing these levels would’ve probably put you to max level.
If you need to level up fast, you can go through special operations using the Special Operations Terminal in Albion. You can level up fast and get some Amorphous Material Patterns to unlock other Descendants simultaneously.
