The secret to evolving Skrelp into Dragalge is through leveling! How you go about it is entirely up to you, but either way, you’ll have to reach level 48 to start the evolution. There are no additional requirements outside of this. Below are some strategies you can use to raise your Skrelp’s level:

  • Auto-battle Pokemon in the Overworld by pressing the R button on your controller. Doing this will send out the Pokemon in your first party slot.
  • Fight Pokemon in traditional battles for faster EXP. You can also fight Overworld trainers or harder enemies like Gym Leaders for even more experience.
  • Use EXP Candies for quick and instant experience boosts. (Bag > Other Items > EXP Candies)

After hitting level 48 with your Skrelp, it’ll automatically evolve into Dragalge after a brief animation sequence.

If you’re looking to catch a Dragalge instead of evolving your Skrelp, be prepared to search for a bit. Dragalge spawns in the northern regions of Paldea, particularly in the ocean west of Casseroya Lake and around North Province Area One and Three. Generally speaking, you’ll want to search in the northern sea to spot high-level Skrelps and Dragalges.
