Where to Find and Catch Skrelp in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Skrelp spawns exclusively in the water around Paldea. However, you won’t find it in any rivers or lakes. Instead, your destination is the ocean surrounding the massive island. Your best bet for encountering Skrelp, if you have a high-level party, is to head south to Alfornada and hop into the ocean using Koraidon/Miradon until you find it. For most locations, you’ll want to have swimming access to dive deeper into the sea without respawning on the shoreline.

Another spot is in the northern regions of the map, mainly west of Casseroya Lake and along North Province Area Three’s coastline. If you’re in the early game, you may also spot some just east of Levinicia, close to the nearby islands.

Skrelp’s Evolutions in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

If you want to evolve Skrelp, be prepared to either catch a high-level version of the Pokemon or grind levels for a while. Skrelp evolves into Dragalge after reaching level 48, making it higher than a typical level 20-30 evolution. While you can eat a bunch of EXP candies, catching Skrelp in the northern regions will help give you a large headstart.
