Below are the steps for completing the “The Lonely Island” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley:

  • Explore the island to see if it’s inhabited.
  • Someone is in the water! Talk to her.
  • Return to Dreamlight Valley.
  • Place Ariel’s Sea Castle in the water near Dazzle Beach.
  • Welcome Ariel to the Village.
  • Talk to Ariel.

You’ll start this quest after completing the Mysterious Wreck and traveling on the newly-built raft. Upon using the boat, you’ll arrive on an island, where you’ll find Ariel the Mermaid. Speak with her to begin the quest.

The forgetting impacted her stay in the village, causing her to lose her way and become stuck on a lonely island. Since you live in the valley, you can help her return home. Return to Dreamlight Valley to proceed.
