  • Follow Moana to the Broken Boat.
  • Talk to Moana about fixing the boat.
  • Gather the following items to fix the Broken Boat: Softwood, Fiber and Pink Hydrangea

  • Give the strange object to Moana.

After Moana and Maui appear in your village, Moana will tell you about her broken boat. Since one of her reasons for living in the valley is to help fish, she wants to start contributing by turning the ship into a fishing vessel. This time, the first item on your agenda is gathering the necessary resources to fix the boat.

To fix Moana’s broken fishing boat in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll need to gather the following materials:

  • Softwood x50
  • Fiber x70
  • Pink Hydrangea x3

Despite needing so many, softwood is the easiest item on the list to get your hands on. Run around the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow, picking up stick piles along the way until you gather 50 softwood. If your first run doesn’t net you all you need, return later and run a few more laps until you get enough! You may want to do other activities, such as gathering the Pink Hydrangea and fiber, between runs.

The next item on the list is fiber. You’ll need to gather 14 seaweed if you don’t have any fibre. You can find seaweed by fishing in most regions or picking it up in areas such as the Glade of Trust and Dazzle Beach. Avoid casting your line into glowing bubbles, though! Instead, aim outside these areas to increase your chances of finding seaweed.

Once you get 14 seaweed, go to any nearby crafting station and craft them into 70 fiber. For every seaweed you have, you’ll gain five fiber!

Last on the list is three Pink Hydrangea. Hydrangea is native to Dazzle Beach, so you’ll have to look around here for some. However, there are multiple variants of Hydrangea, including Blue, Purple and White-Red. With this in mind, you might only find a few pink flowers on your first search. Like softwood farming, you may have to leave and return at a later time if you don’t see all three right away.

With all three items on hand, you’ll have to craft different items. You must craft the following items to progress through the quest:

  • Rustic Wooden Case x3
  • Baskets x3
  • Ropes x4

Rustic wooden cases and baskets are located under “Furniture” in the crafting station, while rope is a Refined Material. Since you have already gathered all the raw resources needed, start creating each item and return to Moana to begin wrapping up the quest. Make sure you don’t use too much softwood and fiber, since you’ll have to hand these in too!

After speaking to Moana, you’ll start fixing and investigating the boat when suddenly, a strange object appears! Go to the Wishing Well to find a small, white crystal on the ground. Pick this up and show Moana the object to complete the quest!
