Best Lockwood MK2 Loadout in Modern Warfare 2

The lever-action rifle returns!

Marksman Rifles are proving to be some of the most powerful weapons in public matches for Modern Warfare 2 and the Lockwood MK2 is one of the most popular picks. Aside from the SP-R 208, it’s likely that you’ll see a majority of players running around with the lever action rifle when they want a quick sniper variant.

Unlike the SP-R though, the weapon can feel a bit rough to use at first. It needs some tweaks to help with damage range and the overall ADS speed. But there are some great base stats to work with. Our guide will go over the best Lockwood MK2 loadout in Call of Duty: MW2.

Modern Warfare 2 – Best Lockwood MK2 Loadout

To make the most of the Lockwood Marksman Rifle, we need to focus on the overall speed. Aside from the barrel, nearly every build addition will be based on getting your sight up and landing one good shot before your opponent. You can find all the attachments you need below.

  • Receiver: Lockwood MK2
  • Barrel: 25″ Buffalo Barrel
  • Comb: Lockwood Merciless
  • Lever: Longhorn Lever
  • Stock: Lockwood Bullseye Stock
  • Laser: Accu-Shot 5mw Laser

First on the attachment list is the 25″ Buffalo Barrel which is easily the best selection for the Lockwood. Not only does it provide much-needed damage range, but it also has more bullet velocity and additional movement speed. It comes at the cost of recoil control and ADS speed but is well worth it.

Then we have the stock and the comb. Both the Lockwood Merciless and the Lockwood Bullseye stock are based on sprint-to-fire and ADS speed. These are the main components for a fast target lock on to outpace nearly any other gun. Adding the Accu-Shot 5mw Laser only solidifies the lightning-fast ADS time.

One final attachment is the Longhorn Lever on the Lockwood MK2. This addition in Modern Warfare 2 isn’t necessary, but it’s a decent boost to the rechambering speed of the weapon. If you would rather, you can go for an optic, but it will cost you precious ADS speed.
