Best Kastov 762 Loadout in Modern Warfare 2

The natural competitor to the M4.

The name may not be familiar, but the Kastov 762 is certainly the classic AK-47-styled assault rifle that has appeared in so many games before Modern Warfare 2. This rifle packs a massive punch when compared to other weapons in the class and it’s the first step in the Kastov platform overall.

You won’t unlock this AK option right away, but it doesn’t take long to earn by simply leveling up. Once you have it, you have access to one of the three best assault rifles available, alongside the early M4. This guide will show you exactly how to put together your own Kastov 762 loadout to make the most of the hard-hitting rifle.

Modern Warfare 2 – Best Kastov 762 Loadout

Though the 7.62 caliber makes this AK variant play a bit differently from the other ARs, the build is still similar to the rifle loadouts for this class. We want to focus on overall versatility, giving the Kastov 762 plenty of control, mobility, and range to deal with opponents at multiple ranges. All of the attachments needed are listed below.

  • Receiver: Kastov 762
  • Barrel: Kastovia 343
  • Muzzle: Polarfire-S
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Rear Grip: True-Tac Grip
  • Optic: Cronen Mini Red Dot

One of the major differences between this AR build compared to others is the selected barrel. The Kastovia 343 is based on ADS speed and mobility. Using the RPK barrel is another option for range, but the negatives are too steep. Instead of a heavier barrel, place the Polarfire-S muzzle for that additional boost to recoil control and damage range.

With the barrel placed, we can choose some grips to support the Kastov. For the Underbarrel and the Rear Grip, we want the FTAC Ripper 56 and True-Tac Grip respectively. The Ripper is typically placed on any assault rifle for some easy stability gains while the True-Tac Grip adds even more ADS and sprint-to-fire speed.

In the last slot, we have the Cronen Mini Red Dot, or any other low-magnification sight. However, if you like the iron sights, you can stick with High-Velocity rounds or a stability stock.
