Bungie has managed to keep the Season of the Seraph under wraps until the exact release time on December 6. With that in mind, no one was able to see the signature exotic for the season in a leak, and you may be wondering how so many players already have a Manticore equipped. In this guide, we’ll cover how you can get the new exotic for yourself and how the weapon works.

Destiny 2 Season 19 – How to Get The Manticore Exotic

The reason you might see so many players with this weapon already is that it’s the signature exotic for the season. The Manticore is unlocked by purchasing the Season 19 premium pass. As soon as you make the purchase and reach the first level of the pass, you’ll have access to the new SMG. It won’t be added to your inventory until you claim it within the pass, so make sure to look through the full track.

You can either purchase the premium pass individually or buy the Deluxe Editon for the Witch Queen Expansion that was released earlier in Destiny 2. Either way, there is no quest that allows players to earn the weapon for free. For those that decide to make the purchase, you’ll be able to claim another Manticore exotic at level 35 in the pass, and at the final rank, you can claim an ornament as well.

We all know it’s the unique perks that make exotics so special, including The Manticore. The Veist submachine gun has an Intrinsic Trait called Soaring Fang that bases the weapon on airborne combat. Dealing damage while grounded charges antigrav repulsors. Dealing damage while airborne extends antigrav repulsors. Along with the airborne effectiveness perk, The Manticore is perfect for aerial combat in Destiny 2 Season 19.
