Spectre Divide has a unique take on the class system that revolves around sponsors, allowing players to unlock different ability sets that can dramatically impact their playstyle depending on which sponsor they pick. By default, players will start off with four sponsors, with four more currently locked. Here is how you can unlock sponsors in Spectre Divide, both through progression and in-game currency.
Unlocking Sponsors in Spectre Divide
To unlock sponsors in Spectre Divide you need to either activate an endorsement for that particular sponsor you’re trying to unlock and progress through its levels or purchase it directly using the in-game currency.
You can only activate one endorsement at a time, meaning you can either track the progress of an already unlocked sponsor or the one you’re trying to unlock.
As an example, we want to unlock the Vector Dynamics Sponsor. We have the following options:
- Pay 1000 of our credits (SP) to unlock all 7 levels, including the Sponsor
- Activate the Endorsement and keep playing to progress through its particular levels
The following Sponsors are currently available in Spectre Divide:
- Pinnacle International – Free
- Morrgen United – Free
- Bloom Technologies – Free
- Ryker Industries – Free
- Vector Dynamics
- Ghostlink Collective
- MUU Robotics
- Umbra Reconnaissance
While you can unlock all these sponsors by simply playing the game, the rate at which you progress through the individual levels of each endorsement can take a while. Currently, we think Morrgen United is still the best sponsor you can play with, and the Smoke Shift ability, which creates a smoke cloud upon grenade throw, is very useful.
We’re interested to see which new sponsors the developers will add down the line, but for now, there is enough variety here to fill in a lot of traditional roles. Spectre Divide runs great for the most part, but getting into its tutorial section can be a bit difficult currently.
