Spectre Divide was recently available in closed beta, and we had a fun time trying out the shooter with its duality mechanics and sponsor system. Mountaintop Studios has now announced the official release date for Spectre Divide, along with their plans for launch.
Spectre Divide Release Date
Spectre Divide is coming exclusively to PC via Steam as a free-to-play title on September 3, 2024.
Servers will be live on Tuesday at 9 AM PT, and the following regions have been confirmed for launch:
- US
- EU
- Asia Pacific
- Australia
Ranked matchmaking will be available at a later date and will be absent at launch, similar to how it was in the closed beta. This should give players enough time to familiarize themselves with the mechanics and unlock some sponsors during the earlier days.
Once it’s available, players will be able to rank up as a Santai Champion as a Team or Solo. The following ranks will be available once this mode is officially added.
Similar to the closed beta, there will be eight sponsors in total, and four will be unlocked immediately.
- Pinnacle International – Free
- Morrgen United – Free
- Bloom Technologies – Free
- Ryker Industries – Free
- Vector Dynamics
- Ghostlink Collective
- MUU Robotics
- Umbra Reconnaissance
Unlocking the rest should keep players busy for a while, but they can purchase those using SP and instantly unlock all the items from the individual progression levels as well.
At launch, the following maps will be available in Spectre Divide:
- Metro
- Mill
- Skyway
- Commons
Finally, the rotating store wasn’t available in the closed beta, but players will be able to purchase weapon skin bundles, along with outfits for themselves and Spectre. This part of the game is completely optional, and there are no pay-to-win mechanics in the game or any form of loot boxes.
We’re excited to see how well it holds up against established titles like Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant, but everything we played was polished and had plenty of room for experimentation.
