While many of the original Slime Rancher slimes are in the second game, there are also plenty of new ones to find. Where to Find Angler Slimes in Slime Rancher 2

When you first enter the world of Slime Rancher 2 and travel through Rainbow Fields, you won’t find the Angler slime anywhere. Instead, you must travel to Starlight Strand. It’s here that you’ll encounter your first group of Angler slimes. To access this area, you’ll have to feed the Cotton Gordo in Rainbow Fields enough food to unlock the teleporter. Interact with the unlock node and make your way to the teleporter to travel freely between the two regions.

Alternatively, if you’re in Ember Valley or plan on venturing over there, you can find Angler slimes there too. Unlocking access to Ember Valley has a similar process. You’ll have to feed the Pink Gordo in Rainbow Fields, use the newly uncovered water to jump onto the nearby platform, and unlock the teleporter. Travel directly forward from this spot to head into Ember Valley and find several new slimes, including Angler ones!

Once you find your first batch of Angler slimes, you can either feed them for some quick plorts or bring them back to your Conservatory and add them to your corrals! They are carnivorous slimes, with Sea Hens being their favorite food. If you feed an Angler slime a sea hen, they’ll drop two plorts instead of one.

Slime Rancher 2 is available on PC and Xbox Series X|S through Steam and Game Pass. If you’re interested in learning more about the game, check out All Coop Upgrades and Costs and How to Unlock the Jetpack in Slime Rancher 2.
