Where to Catch Psyduck in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Psyduck is a common Pokemon with spawn locations scattered all around the map. You’ll first encounter the Pokemon in Los Platos before you make it to Mesagoza, with end-game areas like Glaseado Mountain and the North Province rivers also having some notable spots. The general rule of thumb is to look around water!

The exact spot to visit will depend on how far you’ve progressed into the game. If you’re still in the early game, you’ll want to stick to Los Platos and the southern bodies of water in places like South Provinces Areas One, Four, and Five. Alternatively, if you’re in the late-game and want to evolve Psyduck quickly, you can find some in the river extending northeast of Casseroya Lake and around West Province Areas Two and Three.

Psyduck’s Evolutions in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

At level 33, Psyduck will evolve into Golduck. While this means your Psyduck doesn’t have to use any specific items or rely on friendship to evolve, it also means you may have to farm levels or feed it EXP candies. Catching Psyduck in level 25-30 areas will help lessen the amount of EXP you need for its evolution.
