Where to Catch Barboach in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Barboach is a Pokemon that lives exclusively in the water! However, you typically won’t find it in the northern regions of Paldea. Instead, you’ll want to focus on South Province’s Areas One, Four and Five. You can also find some spawn spots east of Cascarrafa and in East Province Area Three. In other words, look in bodies of water in the southern parts of the map for your best chances at finding Barboach.

Since Barboach is a water Pokemon, you have two options to initiate a battle with it. Your first is to use the ZL and ZR buttons on your joycons to aim and throw your Poke Ball. Doing this starts a fight on the water, where you can weaken and catch Barboach. Alternatively, you can swim with Koraidon/Miraidon to achieve the same goal.
