All around Paldea, you can find these glowing stakes in the ground. If you walk up and interact with it, the game will ask if you want to remove the stake. Once you’ve done this, nothing will seemingly change. Well, that’s because you’ll need to find more of them.

There are 32 stakes around Paldea, all of which correspond to a different color. Each color has eight stakes that need to be removed. Doing this will unlock a shrine of the corresponding color.

Each stake is in the same region as the shrine. So you won’t have to hunt around every single Province in the game, only where the shrines are.

Each shrine holds one of four Legendary Pokemon. These four Pokemon are known as the “Ruinous Quartet” and seem to be of Chinese origin. You can learn more about the stakes, shrines, and Pokemon by taking a history class at Naranja Academy in Mesagoza. This will mark the shrines on your map, and you’ll begin to learn more about the legendary Pokemon, their origins, and more about why they are locked away here in Paldea.

Keep your eyes peeled for these stakes around the region because if you can pull them and collect all of the Legendary Pokemon in the shrine, you’ll be able to learn even more about this mysterious legend.
