With the next Valorant Episode, Lotus is set to receive some reworks to help the map feel better to play. Here’s all the changes to Lotus with Valorant’s Episode 8 Act 1 update.
Everything Changing With Lotus in Valorant Episode 8 Act 1
The changes coming to Lotus are focused on reworking the A, B, and C sites to improve their feel for both attack and defense. We’ll go through each site one by one to detail exactly what’s changed.
A Site
A Site will be seeing the site’s central hallway removed, with a new indent in the wall on the defender’s side replacing it. Otherwise, the path to Connector between A Main and B has been changed so that the slanted wall is now simply a right angle with some boxes for cover. These changes seem mainly focused on easing up the job of defenders.
B Site
The Connector between A Main and B Site has seen a minor change to increase the size of the roof hole, making it easier to send utility through for the attackers. The site has also been expanded, making the attacker experience a lot less claustrophobic and opening up a 50/50 peek for defenders to exploit.
C Site
The C Site has seen a massive change that helps attackers push onto the site much more easily. The box leading to the ramp up to the C Site itself has been severely expanded along with the left wall as you enter site, while the bomb planting space has been changed to be much further forward in site. These changes should make planting far less risky, and open up the site’s viability for attackers.
All around, some interesting changes to Lotus that should help change things for either team, addressing some of the pain points. If you’re looking for more details about the next update, check out our guide on all maps in the map pool of Valorant Episode 8 Act 1.
