Valorant: All Maps Included in Episode 8 Act 1

Maps, maps, and more maps.

Valorant’s various Episodes and Acts may be all about the new content and cosmetics, but the map pool is just as important to how that season will play out. Here are all the maps included in the map pool for Valorant Episode 8 Act 1.

Every Map in Valorant Episode 8 Act 1

With the launch of Episode 8 Act 1, Valorant will have the following maps in rotation:

  • Icebox
  • Lotus
  • Sunset
  • Breeze
  • Ascent
  • Bind
  • Split

This map layout is very similar to Episode 7 Act 3’s map rotation, with Icebox coming in and Haven going out (pour one out to one of my favorite maps). This keeps the map pool at seven different maps, which seems to be the theme for Valorant with most of its recent map pool changes.

However, this doesn’t mean that’s all that’s happening with the map pool change. With the start of Episode 8 Act 1 on January 9, both Icebox and Lotus will be receiving a slew of reworks to help improve their gameplay. While we’re a bit blind on the Icebox changes at the moment, we know that Lotus will be getting its A site switched around a bit, its B site expanded further to give attackers and defenders more room to play with, and its C site changed to move some of the spike planting space toward the entry ramp, rather than deep into the site.

It’s also important to note that, as usual, Valorant’s map pool only applies to the Unrated and Competitive modes. All other modes can still include maps that aren’t currently in rotations, so you can still play maps like Haven, Fracture, and Pearl in Spike Rush. You just can’t play them in the more competitive settings.
