We all have that one friend, relative, coworker, neighbor, that just can’t seem to take a hint. Animal Crossing has taken this real-life struggle and developed it into the gameplay and in this game guide we will lay out your options on how to deal with them.

Players will find that different kinds of characters will inhabit their island. These residents will help you build a unique community on your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Unfortunately, you may feel like one resident has overstayed their welcome and would like to kick them out. Fortunately, we have everything you need to know to kick out a resident covered for you.

Our Step By Step Solution

The characters that can take up residency on your island are all usually lovable individuals. However, as with life, sometimes you can get annoyed by someone and would rather them not be where you live. Players in the latest entry in the fan-favorite Nintendo franchise can kick out a resident in two ways.

One method consists of Animal Crossing: New Horizons players going to Isabelle and let her know that you would like to kick a resident out by making a complaint against the particular character each day. This consistent stream of complaints will cause the character you would like to leave to ask you if they should go, which you can then tell them to leave your island.

A more direct way is to go up to the resident you would like to kick out and hit them with your net. Once you have angered them enough, they will come to speak with you. Ignore them until they eventually come to you and tell you that they are thinking about leaving, which will then allow you to ask them to go and leave your island.
