How to Get Sky Eggs in Bunny Day 2023 Event: Animal Crossing New Horizons

Sky eggs are one of several egg types you’ll spot throughout the Bunny Day event. While you’ll see some in trees or underground, sky eggs appear, well, in the sky! Fortunately, there are a few different ways you can get them.

Getting Bunny Day Presents Using Your Slingshot

The best way to get sky eggs during the Bunny Day event is to look around for gift balloons in the sky. As you’re playing the game, have your volume up and listen for a “whoosh” sound from the wind. Hearing this indicates that one of these balloons is flying in the air, allowing you to use your slingshot to shoot it down.

There are two types of balloons you might spot: Regular colored ones and rainbow stripe ones. The normal balloons drop the same rewards you’d typically find, while the rainbow ones are the sky egg gifts. Make sure to focus on these striped balloons!

Gifts From Villagers

Another way you can get sky eggs is by randomly receiving them from your villagers. Occasionally, one will run up to you with an exclamation point above their head and give you a gift. Sometimes, you’ll get a crafting recipe or clothing; other times, you’ll get five eggs. If you’re lucky, you might get some sky eggs! There is also a chance you’ll get some in the mail, so keep an eye out for gifts in your mailbox.

You can also speak to Zipper T. Bunny on Easter Sunday to trade in eggs. Doing this is helpful if you stockpiled a bunch of a specific egg type and want to get some sky eggs in return. Likewise, if you have tons of sky eggs and want to get some others, you can exchange these too!
