The looter-shooters combined several MMO elements with team-based strategy in huge open worlds, which was typically set in big post-apocalyptic versions of famous US cities. In a fresh new The Division experience for mobile platforms, The Resurgence is bringing the New York from the first game back. Is The Division Resurgence Open World?

As Ubisoft promises, The Division Resurgence, although it will be developed and published only for mobile platforms, will be The Division experience that longtime fans of the series are used to. This means that Resurgence will be set in an open world, but also that it will have all third-person shooter RPG mechanics, a completely new story, and high-quality graphics.

The Division Resurgence trailer gave us our first look at the new mobile The Division.
