How to Win Every Summoner’s Court Match in Hogwarts Legacy

In Summoner’s Court, you can receive five point values depending on where your ball is at the end of the game. If it flies out of bounds, you won’t get any points, while landing it in the red, orange, green or blue sections will net you some. Your objective is to get the magical balls into the blue area as often as possible, or close to it, without using too much force.

At the same time, you also want to make sure your opponent doesn’t knock your ball out of bounds. Even if your ball initially lands in a good spot, pushing it off the platform will still net you zero. Don’t worry; you can also use this to hinder whoever you’re up against.

Throughout the five rounds of Summoner’s Court, you’ll encounter various obstacles that make this harder to accomplish. However, you can also use these to gain an advantage, which we’ll get into later.

With all that said, let’s get into some strategizing!

Hogwarts Legacy Summoner’s Court – Tutorial Basics

During your first tutorial round in your Charms class, you’ll learn about the Accio spell and how to use it. You’ll use this spell throughout all your Summoner’s Court rounds, so get acquainted with it quickly!

In this first tutorial of Summoner’s Court, you won’t have any obstacles blocking you from landing your ball onto the blue part of the platform. Since the ball will continue rolling after you stop your Accio cast, you’ll want to stop it once the ball reaches the orange section so that, even as it moves, it won’t fall off the area. Repeat this during your rounds to finish the tutorial!

Summoner’s Court – Round 1

In the first official part of this five-quest series, you’ll find your first set of hurdles on the platform. These cylindrical obstacles will cause your magical ball to bounce off them, which can knock it off the court or into another section.

The strategy is mostly the same as before, though, with you trying to get your ball into the green or blue sections to get more points. The main difference is that you’ll want to squeeze the ball between two obstacles or stop it just before you bump into it.

Summoner’s Court – Round 2

During the second match against Samantha, you’ll encounter a brand-new obstacle. They’ll appear as quicksand-like circles that roll your ball toward its center when it touches them.

While these have a chance of curving your ball off the court, you can use this to your advantage to increase your chances of landing it on a particular spot. For example, if the center of a circle is on the green space, you can lead the ball here to guarantee 30 points for yourself. In most cases, though, you’ll want to try to avoid these or pull the ball past the circles to hit the blue space as usual.

Summoner’s Court – Round 3

Another round, another set of obstacles! This time, the twist is that, rather than introducing hurdles you want to avoid, you can actually gain more points. During this round, you’ll find multiple narrow ramps with “100” on the tops that, when your ball lands on them, net you 100 points.

While you’ll want to land on these spots as often as possible, it is easy to mistime Accio, stopping the ball before or after the 100 and getting fewer points. If you miss the 100, try to land the ball in the green or blue spaces to get as many points as possible. Like before, your Accio timing is the most important aspect of this round.

As a bonus, if Grace lands their ball on the space, you can try to take the spot and knock the ball off the platform. While this may result in you getting fewer points, it’ll also lower Grace’s, which can make for some wacky but beneficial situations. Just be careful since this is a much riskier play than going for an open platform!

Summoner’s Court – Round 4

This match against Charlotte tests your strategy with two previous hurdles. Instead of introducing a new obstacle, this one combines the cylindrical barriers with quicksand circles which can cause your magical balls to fly around and miss the green/blue spaces easily.

While your strategy will change slightly this time, the idea is the same: avoid obstacles and land your ball in the blue space. You’ll find a couple of opportunities to do this without touching the barriers at all, particularly on the left side of the platform, but the right side is where things get tricky. However, it is possible to still land comfortably in the blue space as long as you move the ball slowly and let go sooner than usual. By doing this, the vortex will suck the ball in, fitting it snuggly against the right barrier in the blue zone.

Final Round of Summoner’s Court in Hogwarts Legacy

The fifth and final round against Professor Ronen is where things get wild. He doesn’t pull punches this time around, and neither do the obstacles. You’ll find cylinder barriers, quicksand circles and 100-point ramps on the field, with only a small window to get 50 points in the center.

Furthermore, Ronen is good at this and often lands those 100-point spots with little difficulty. Your main strategy here is to beat him to the punch and reach those areas before he does. If he’s already made it to those sweet spots, mainly the left-side 100 and the middle 50, you can knock his ball off the arena and take them for yourself. We’re in it to win it.
