How to Use Roller Mines Within the Derelict Dam in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Red light, blue light.

After your introduction to Koboh in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you’ll slowly be making your way down the mountain, through all the tar pits that have left more than a few obstacles for Cal Kestis. Just before you reach the Koboh dinosaur, you’ll find the Derelict Dam, which has more than a few blocked-off entrances covered in oil, and plenty of Roller Mines.

The explosive droids will pop up all around the Derelict Dam on Koboh, and if you’re not careful, they’ll tear through Cal’s health with red lasers as a warning. We’re here to explain how the Roller Mines work on Koboh and how you can use them to progress past the walls in the Derelict Dam.

Jedi Survivor – How to Use Roller Mines at the Derelict Dam

Once you get past some of the initial battle droids, you’ll see plenty of tar pits and breakable walls. The walls will be highlighted in blue when you look directly at them, which means you can break them. Using the force alone won’t help you though. Instead, you need to pick up the Roller Mines that chase you around. You’ll know you’ve found the right ones by their lasers and explosions.

To find more than the initial mines, you’ll have to take the detour around the tar pits to open up the cave path. This path will give you more access to an infinite Roller Mine spawner in Jedi Survivor. As they spawn, they will follow you with a laser. Blue means they are locked onto Cal, yellow means danger, and red means they are about to explode.

In order to break the walls, the goal is to lead the mines close enough so you can reach them without going into the tar pits. Then you need to use the Force Pull ability. Once the Roller Mines have been pulled, you’ll have a couple of seconds to throw them at the wall before they explode in your face, so make sure to line them up in Jedi Survivor before going for the push.
