You’ll need to utilize some platforms of your own to get across the tar pits on Koboh, but the ship that the small droid was using sunk down into the tar. You can interact with the droid, but you won’t get much info. Cal needs to figure out the puzzle on his own when he gets the strength. Here’s how to help the Tar Pit Droid in Jedi Survivor.

Jedi Survivor – How to Help the Tar Pit Droid Lift the Ship

When you reach this section and interact with the droid, you’ll know that the next step is to help lift the ship out of the tar that spilled from the Derelict Dam. However, the ship or the platform will be highlighted in red and you won’t be able to use the Force to move it; at least not yet. You’ll have to get further into the main story and then return. If you already have the ability to lift objects, then the solution is simple.

Jedi Survivor – How to Lift the Ship Out of the Tar Pit

  • With the Force lift ability unlocked on the Shattered Moon, you’ll have access to lift and slam.
  • Head over to the tar pit droid and look at the platform. Hold R1/RB and tap Triangle/Y.
  • The lift and slam ability is in the same menu as the Mind Trick ability.
  • Using Force lift on the platform will solve the Tar Pit problem for the droid.

Once the ship is lifted out of the tar at the Derelict Dam on Koboh, there will be an Essence upgrade located on the platform. Interact with the droid once more, who is jumping for joy, and claim your reward. It’s that simple, but it just takes some time to unlock. Be patient and I promise there is an easy reward ahead of you.

For those who don’t have the lift ability just yet, you’ll have to come back once you’ve finished your second main trip on the Shattered Moon in Jedi Survivor. It’s the same place where you can unlock the Crossguard Lightsaber, so it’s not a bad path regardless.
