How to Unlock the Purified Freedom Achievement in Risk of Rain 2

Seekers of the Achievements

Risk of Rain 2’s new expansion, Seekers of the Storm, introduces three new characters, five stages, and as expected, tons of new achievements for players to track and unlock. There are three new achievements to earn in Seekers of the Storm with varying difficulty. Here is how you can earn the Purified Freedom achievement in Risk of Rain 2.

Purified Freedom Achievement in Risk of Rain 2

To obtain the Purified Freedom achievement in Risk of Rain 2 Seekers of the Storm, you need to unlock the False Son survivor.

Unlocking the False Son is quite the challenge, and we have written a detailed guide dedicated to unlocking him, but here are the key steps required to reach, beat, and unlock him:

  • Make your way to the Gilded Coast. There are multiple ways to get to it.
  • Defeat Aurelionite (the boss of that stage)
  • Obtain the Halcyon Seed by defeating Aurelionite
  • Enter the Green Portal, and continue summoning Green Portals till you reach the Prime Meridian
  • Defeat the False Son at the top of Prime Meridian with the Halcyon Seed in your inventory to unlock the False Son as a playable survivor

Risk of Rain 2 Seekers of the Storm Achievements

Unlocking the False Son will also unlock the Purified Freedom achievement. Simply beating the False Son will unlock the King of the Hill achievement, so if this is your first time beating the False Son, you’ll unlock both achievements.

Finally, to unlock the Order Up! achievement in Risk of Rain 2 Seekers of the Storm, you need to unlock the Chef Survivor. Unlike the Seeker, both the Chef and False Son are locked by default.
