Players will first need to own the Operation Guns DLC to be able to get the C-U-Laser. Players who do not have the DLC will not be able to access any of the new levels, characters, or guns going forward.

The Long Gun, Short Gun, and the Spread Shot weapons will need to be unlocked before the C-U-Laser can be obtained. Evolving the Spread Shot will unlock Lucia Zero as a playable character, and she comes with the C-U-Laser by default.

Buying her from the character selection screen and surviving 15 minutes with Lucia Zero will unlock the C-U-Laser for all characters to use. That includes characters from the main game or other DLC packs.

The C-U-Laser can evolve into the Pronto Beam weapon by upgrading the C-U-Laser to max level while owning the Weapon Power-Up and Tirajisú passive items. The Weapon Power-Up was introduced in the new DLC and looks like a grey briefcase. The Tirajisú item gives players a free revive when dead, which will help in the early game as the laser is not very powerful.

Like previous weapon evolutions, level up your character to max out the C-U-Laser at level eight, then defeat an elite monster at around the 10-minute mark to open up a chest with the Pronto Beam evolution. Players can then safely leave the match once it is obtained, or finish it up to tackle other missions.

The fastest method to evolve the C-U-Laser is to play as Lucia Zero on the Neo Galuga level. Lucia Zero comes equipped with the C-U-Laser to start and there is a Weapon Power-Up just south of where players spawn on the map.
