Green Portals are the latest addition in the Seekers of the Storm expansion for Risk of Rain 2. While the game isn’t in the best state right now, green portals provide the progression path to access most of the expansion content. It’s not immediately clear how to spawn these, and here is how you can summon green portals in Risk of Rain 2.

To spawn the green portals in Risk of Rain 2, you need to pray to the Halcyon Shrine, charge it up to a certain point using gold, and defeat the Halcyon Knight.

After the initial green portal, subsequent green portals will appear when you finish the stage after entering the green portal the normal way by interacting with the teleporter.

  • The Halcyon Shrine is guaranteed in the first stage as long as you have the expansion enabled.
  • Pray to it, and it will start charging up while summoning golems for you to fight.
  • It has three levels, and you can technically summon the Halcyon Knight as soon as it’s charged up to the first level.
  • The more levels you charge, the more rewards you’ll receive.

After the initial Green Portal appears in stage one, you can enter it to access the new maps of the expansion. Here, you don’t need to interact with Halcyon Shrines and play regularly by charging up the teleporter to summon a green portal instead.

Additionally, a green portal also has a chance to show up when you beat Aurelionite at the Gilded Coast. Obtaining the Halcyon Seed will put you on the path to unlocking the False Son survivor as well as the Purified Freedom achievement. You will also need to enter a green portal to reach the Reformed Altar.
