Diablo 4 Farm Varshan For Two Mucus-Slick Eggs

Mucus-Slick Eggs are obtained by defeating Varshan, who has his own list of summoning materials, those being the body parts found from Tree of Whispers Bounties. You’ll need to kill Varshan on World Tier 4 for the Eggs to drop, which means farming up four different materials.

Varshan Summoning Materials

  • Malignant Heart
  • Gurgling Head
  • Blackened Femur
  • Trembling Hand

The Apothecary can be used to convert excess materials into ones you lack, just in case your luck is a little off. Once you have these materials, head into the Malignant Burrow right next to the Tree of Whispers and proceed down the path to the altar to summon Varshan.

Farm Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint for Two Shards of Agony

Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint requires 5 Living Steel to summon in World Tier 4, which can be found by opening Tortured Offering chests within the Helltide. Luckily, from Season 3 onward the Helltide is always active somewhere, so you won’t have to worry about waiting around to farm more.

You can find Grigoire in the Hall of the Penitent, located in the Dry Steppes (shown on the map below).

2 Eggs + 2 Steel = Duriel

Take your two Mucus-Slick Eggs and two Shards of Agony to the Gaping Crevasse in Kehjistan to summon the Echo of Duriel.

Duriel himself is a pretty tough fight, but nowhere nearly as unmanageable as the Echo of Lilith. If you’re level 95 or so and have a halfway-optimized build, you shouldn’t struggle too much to defeat him.

If you don’t want to do the farming (or fighting) yourself, you can also use Trade Chat to organize runs. You can either offer up your summoning materials to other, powerful players to help you clear the fight, or offer only one type of material (like Mucus-Slick Eggs) while another player throws down Living Steel. If you’re a one-shot machine yourself, you can also always offer your own services to players in need of help.
