How to Start the Vessel of Hatred Campaign in Diablo 4

To skip to the Vessel of Hatred campaign, the player must have purchased the expansion on the account and finished the original campaign on any character on the account.

If you have both of these requirements, you are eligible to skip to the Vessel of Hatred campaign. To skip to the campaign, you must go to the character select screen and create a new character. Select your desired class, finish all the character customizations to your preference, and set a name for the character.

After going through all of these, you’ll see a screen with gameplay options “Seasonal” and “Hardcore.” Above these selections, you’ll see a “Change Campaign State” button. Tap the button, and you’ll have two options: start with the original campaign or start with the Vessel of Hatred campaign.

Select the start with the Vessel of Hatred campaign, and your character will immediately start with a questline leading to the Nahantu area.

If you want to skip the Vessel of Hatred campaign, you must unlock the ability to skip it first by finishing the campaign on any character. That means you have to defeat the Harbinger of Hatred in the campaign. Even if some quests might follow after the Harbinger of Hatred questline, you’ll already have the option to skip the campaign since the rest of the questline will teach you some of the endgame activities.

If you only have the base game, you won’t be able to experience any new content locked behind the Vessel of Hatred campaign. Here are the Vessel of Hatred edition differences if you are looking to purchase the expansion.
