How to Pressure & Stagger Lavalisk in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Video by Prima Games

To quickly bring an end to the Lavalisk in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you’ll want to use Ice Materia, as they are extremely weak to this particular element. They are difficult to hit, as they’ll encompass themselves in flames that work not only as a shield but as a way to damage the players attempting to attack them. Once you’re able to start casting Blizzard, be sure to let it rip. Deal enough damage and pressure your foes with ease.

By equipping and using the Assess Materia, you’ll discover that the Lavalisk only has one Elemental Weakness — Ice, as mentioned above. It’s also great because once they have become Pressured, they lose the ability to use some of their abilities, making the upcoming physical onslaught more exciting and visceral. Be sure to knock all the sense in the world into them, and be prepared for a fast and furious battle.

How to Complete Fiend Intel 3: Scorched Earth

To complete Fiend Intel 3: Scorched Earth, you’ll want to work toward the following objectives:

  • Pressure Lavalisk.
  • Stagger Lavalisk.
  • Defeat all enemies within the time limit. (1:00 minute)

This one can be tough, especially since there are so many enemies to eliminate in such a short period, and they’re all defensively capable of taking on any member of your party and blocking your shots while damaging close-range fighters. Use members like Aerith and Barret, if possible, to avoid getting burned while you’re getting up close and personal with them, to quickly build up both the Pressure and Stagger on these nasty foes.
