How To Find Materia in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

While exploring the open worlds around you, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for any glowing balls of magic. These are going to be Materia, which you may also find hiding in chests, or you’ll have the chance to purchase more Materia as you progress through the main story. If you’re feeling spicy, you can also engage in some of the bountiful side content to unlock even more Materia without paying a single Gil. It’s especially helpful if you’re looking to get powerful magic like the Revival Materia, which is great to have in any portion of the game.

The easiest way to find it, however, is just by keeping your eyes peeled on the world around you. Without a doubt, you’ll be spending plenty of time exploring the nooks and crannies of the world around you, and there are plenty of Materia orbs just lying on the ground. Approach them and pick them up to add them to your inventory. While they will more often than not just be your standard Fire, Blizzard, or Wind spells, you may be lucky enough to find something worth the effort.

To recap, you can find Materia by doing the following:

  • Exploring the World
  • Engaging in Side Content
  • Purchasing it from shops

How To Equip Materia in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

To equip Materia on yourself or your Party Members, you’ll first need to bring up the Pause Menu. From here, select the Materia & Equipment option, and select which member of the party you want to power up — then Press Triangle to start equipping any Materia that you have in your arsenal.

From here, you’ll want to select the Materia that you’re hoping to equip and place it into an empty slot on either your Accessories or your Weapon. If you do not have enough free space, you’ll need to remove a previously slotted piece of Materia to make way for the new one that you are hoping to utilize.
