When you finally decide to stop overworking or eating the Pals in your base, you might want to try naming one of them in Palworld. As long as you know where to look, it’s easy to rename a Pal and there is plenty of room for ideas.

How to Rename Your Pal in Palworld

To change the name of your Pal, add it to your current party and then select the edit button in the Pal’s description when you open the Party tab. The fastest way I have found to rename any of my Pals is to just press the “tab” key and scroll over to my current followers. It’s important to make use of the Party here because the Palbox won’t be much help in editing your followers.

When you select the edit option on your Pal, you get 24 characters to rename your friend to anything you would like. Maybe they’re your best battle option and they need a strong title. Or maybe you have a twisted trainer who thinks food tastes better after you name it. Either way, the process is free, and you can always go back into the menu for a new name.

Pal Naming in Palworld:

  • Add a Pal to your party.
  • Open up the party tab next to your inventory.
  • Select the edit option on a specific Pal.
  • Type in the name you want.

At first, I thought that the naming feature would be tied to the Palbox, but there don’t seem to be any options for renaming in those menus. Your Palbox is only meant for the management of all the Pals you currently have captured. Meanwhile, the party tab next to the inventory menu is where you can get more customizations done for your favorites in Palworld.

Don’t worry about what level you are either. The option to name Pals becomes available as soon as you catch one and have it following you in your next adventure.

Once you’re sick of catching Pals, you might run into some catchable humans around the island.
