How to Catch and Sell Humans in Palworld

That's one way to get revenge

We all know catching pals using Pal Spheres is expected in Palworld, but what about humans? While you may initially suspect it’s impossible to catch people and treat them like the rest of your party, this couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Can You Catch Humans in Palworld?

Yes, you can catch humanoid enemies in Palworld, allowing you to use them in combat and at your base. However, the odds of catching them are low, as even at a low level and health, your weaker Pal Spheres only have around a 15 percent chance of working.

Doing this turns them from an enemy that attacks you into a loyal follower, friend, or whoever you wish to call them. They don’t have a Paldeck entry, but you can view their stats in your party menu.

While you can catch humans with Pal Spheres, the game will comment on it, giving you a notification telling you that doing this is inhumane. While this doesn’t impact your gameplay, your character will forever live knowing they committed such an atrocity.

How to Use Captured Humans in Palworld

Once you catch your human, you can keep them in your party or use them at your base to work for you. While they typically won’t have a wide range of work suitability traits, they usually have some, allowing them to help you like a regular Pal would. You can also level and use your new friend in combat to get revenge on them attacking you.

To put this in perspective, the first human NPC I caught had handiwork level one, allowing them to craft items for me. I appreciated the help and almost felt bad about the situation before quickly moving on and continuing my playthrough. Now, they’re sitting in my Palbox, replaced by a Lovander with level-two handiwork.

In other words, they’re not the most helpful to have around compared to other Pals you find later on. Despite this, they can still assist you in a pinch or provide comedic relief if you’re amused by having a fellow human follow you around. You can get creative with using them, regardless of whether they’re in your party, base, or Palbox.

How to Sell Humans in Palworld

As wild and morally questionable as it is to sell humans in a video game, it’s possible to do this in Palworld by going to either the Small Settlement Pal Merchant or the Black Marketeer near the Desolate Church. Both will buy your human pal for the same price, so it’s entirely up to you which you prefer.

Personally, I just use the Pal Merchant since it’s easier to reach this NPC than flying down to an abandoned mineshaft. Either way, it’s a good opportunity to earn or spend your gold coins.

Once you find your desired merchant, head into their sell menu and find your human pal to initiate the trade. The one I caught was priced at 337 gold, which made me contemplate how they determined the price of this person. I’m sure for Palworld, their level and stats determine it, but it still made me think for a bit.

After confirming your selection and pressing sell, you’ll send the person to the merchant for them to deal with while you pocket some gold to use however you wish.
