Nightingale can be a pretty game at times, but you might want to turn off the HUD so you can bask in its full beauty. Here’s how to disable the HUD in Nightingale.
How to Disable Your HUD in Nightingale
To disable your HUD in Nightingale, you simply want to press F4. This will remove all HUD elements, leaving just the landscape and whatever items you’re holding out. From there, you’re free to either appreciate the immersion or take your screenshots. Once you want the HUD again, simply press F4 once more to bring it back. You can also change the button within the Keybinds section of the settings, in case you don’t have an F4 key or simply want to hit another button.
If you’re on console, you unfortunately can’t disable the HUD at the time of writing. If you head back to that Keybinds section, there’s no controller button bound to the key and it can’t have one added to it. You’re stuck in the water until the developers add one if they do end up adding one in the first place. If they do, we’ll be sure to update this section to reflect that.
Can You Disable Certain HUD Elements?
If you don’t want the whole HUD to disappear and simply just want one part of it gone, you can’t do much on that front at the time of writing. You can disable the damage numbers when hitting enemies if that helps, but beyond showing or hiding subtitles, there isn’t much else HUD-related. Thankfully, an Accessibility settings group can be found in the Interface section of the settings menu, so they likely plan to add some settings to modify the HUD in the future.
