As you explore your surroundings in Pax Dei, you will the occasional hostile fauna. For me, it was a small pack of wild boar in the forest that gave me a taste of the respawn mechanics in the MMORPG. If only I knew then what I know now! Here is how to heal in Pax Dei!
How to Heal Yourself in Pax Dei
In the early game, the best way to heal yourself in Pax Dei is by consuming a variety of food. You have a few slots available for food buffs, and they’ll stack so long as you eat different types. For instance, if you consume blueberries and raspberries, you’ll receive additional healing and stamina buffs. But if you only eat blueberries, that buff is smaller overall.
As you progress deeper into the game, however, you’ll eventually unlock a variety of health potions, including:
- Healing Potion
- Health Tonic
- Minor Health Tonic
- Minor Healing Potion
- Weak Health Tonic
- Weak Health Potion
As they’re essentially magic potions, these tonics do require better ingredients, such as water and Elegant Stinkhorn Extract, along with an Alchemy Table to actually craft the item.
Where to Find Healing Items in Pax Dei
For the most part, everything you require can be found somewhere in the world. From the very moment you spawn in the game, start looking at your surroundings. On the ground, you’ll spy the occasional blue-speckled bush indicating a blueberry patch. Nearby, a slightly larger, red-speckled bush for raspberries. I often find raspberries near flax fields!
But you’ll certainly want to keep an eye out for the human-size fruit trees that spawn apples. You’ll acquire a small bushel of apples per tree and learn new recipes upon picking your first one!
As for the necessary resources to craft health potions and tonics, those will come later in the game once you start learning more about Pax Dei’s mechanics, specifically alchemy. We’ll cover alchemy in-depth in the near future!
