The very first time you’ll encounter coconuts to harvest is in Moana’s Realm. While Dazzle Beach’s coconuts are still unavailable, you can snag some from Moana’s Realm in the meantime until you complete the quest line required to transfer them to the Valley. While this isn’t a permanent option, it works if you aren’t interested in completing Moana and Maui’s missions immediately but want to get your hands on a few coconuts. If you’re looking to grow coconut trees, though, you’ll have the work on the quests.

The quest you have to finish from here is “Burying the Eel”, a mission you’ll find after inviting Moana and Maui to your village and raising Maui to Friendship level two. He’ll tell you about his adventures with using an eel to grow a coconut tree, prompting you to do the same. You’ll have to make fish traps, gather worms, and catch an eel before planting it into Dazzle Beach’s sand.

After watering the small tree, it’ll grow into a coconut tree that you can harvest! Not only that, but you’ll now find a few extra coconut trees dotted around the beach. While no, that doesn’t mean you’ll wake up to ten coconut trees tomorrow, you can rest assured knowing that you’ll find around three permanent ones.
