The best way to farm Zinc Ore is to search the Corel Region after finishing Chapter 8 in the main story. Zinc will continue to appear in regions like Corel or the Cosmo Canyon, but the concentration of the material won’t be nearly as high. As you get further into the late game, the mid-game materials have less chance of spawning in chests or on the ground. So stick to the Corel region if you want to farm as much Zinc as possible.

Waiting until Chapter 9 to begin searching for Zinc Ore can save you time because the full Corel Region will open up. There is the northern section that opens directly after the cruise, and then there is the southern section that allows you to roam with more freedom. You even get a buggy that you can drive to easily search the landscape for more ore and Exquisite Beast Hide while you’re at it. Just keep an eye out for rust-colored rocks and gems.

Once you have enough Zinc Ore, you can start crafting some real mid-game equipment for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Along with Exquisite fiend parts, items such as the Supernatural Wristguards and the Platinum Earrings can be obtained in the Item Transmuter. Just don’t forget to keep stacking up any ores that run dry in your material inventory. There is a limit to each material you can stack, which encourages you to craft more items.

Before you start farming for ore, make sure you have the upgrade recipes needed for the Transmuter.
