How to Get Wheat Seeds in Palworld

The two main ways to get wheat seeds are buying them from merchants in the Small Settlement southwest of Rayne Syndicate Tower and catching or defeating particular grass-type Pals such as Dinossom. Grass-type Pals drop all kinds of items, from mushrooms to berry seeds, with wheat seeds among the possibilities for specific breeds.

If you don’t want to search for these Pals, you can find the Small Settlement at coordinates (71, -486). Here, you’ll spot merchants who sell Pals and various items, including wheat seeds for 100 gold coins each. Although pricey if you buy them in bulk, you can purchase a few here before building a wheat plantation to grow and renew your supply for free.

Which Pals Drop Wheat Seeds in Palworld?

Below is a complete list of every Pal that drops wheat seeds in Palworld:

  • Floppie
  • Bristla
  • Cinnamoth
  • Robinquill
  • Dinossom

During my playthrough, the first Pal I encountered were Dinossoms that spawned just outside the Plateau of Beginning. However, you can also find ones like Cinnamoth early on, with these spawning just past the Bridge of the Twin Knights.

Which Merchants Sell Wheat and Wheat Seeds in Palworld?

The main merchant you’ll encounter that sells wheat seeds is the Wandering Merchant in the Small Settlement. Since they’re close to a fast travel point, you can quickly visit this merchant and the Pal shop owner once you visit for the first time.

The Wandering Merchant also sells items like Pal organs, eggs, milk, and hat schematics, among other materials.

How to Grow Wheat in Palworld

Once you have some wheat seeds, build a wheat plantation using stone and wood to begin planting them. It costs slightly more than a berry plantation and requires reaching at least level 15 in the technology tree, but it will allow you to grow wheat with the help of your Pals.

As a bonus, you’ll complete an objective in your base level missions, allowing you to recruit more work Pals to help you.

Your Pals can help you plant, water, and harvest your wheat, allowing you to automate the process while you’re away. Just make sure you have ones with these work capabilities so the whole cycle is smooth without you having to step in and help.

How to Make Flour in Palworld

Once you have some wheat, you can build a mill after reaching level 15 and unlocking its technology node. After making your mill, you’ll need a Pal with the Watering work suitability to use the structure, allowing you to turn your wheat into flour.

From here, you can use your flour to cook advanced recipes such as cakes, burgers and pizza.
