How to Target-Farm the Ring of the Midnight Sun in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred

The Ring of the Midnight Sun is one of the main drops from the Tormented Grigoire boss in the Halls of the Penitent. You need 12x Living Steel to summon Tormented Grigoire. Depending on your current torment difficulty, the number of unique item drops will change. Torment 4 will give the highest number of unique item drops (around 6 unique items). However, the drop table will remain the same on all Torment difficulties.

There are other unique items that drop, so it might take a few fights before you can get one Ring of the Midnight Sun to drop. You should average to get one for every two fights, but sometimes, you can get unlucky.

If you don’t have the materials, Living Steel, you can also get the Ring of the Midnight Sun in any content as long as it drops unique. One of the most popular ones is going for the Pit, as it gives the best experience points per minute as well as some consistent unique items. Infernal Hordes does give more unique but it uses a different loot table in Season of Hatred, which means you should avoid it if you want to farm for the Ring of the Midnight Sun specifically.
