Where to Find the Penitent Greaves in Diablo 4

You can get the Penitent Greaves Unique by completing World Bosses, Helltides, and Nightmare Dungeons on World Tier 3 or above. These aren’t the only activities where uniques can drop, because there is always a chance to find them, but I tend to have the best luck with Unique and Legendary item drops when I run those events.

In general, Unique items in Diablo 4 can drop at anytime. That means simply killing mobs and opening chests will always have the chance for an item like the Penitent Greaves. However, increased luck can always make a difference. Playing on World Tier 4 and taking on tougher content will mean better drop rates.

What is the Penitent Greave Effect?

The Penitent Greaves are Unique Boots that are based around frost damage and chilling effects. Frost-based Rogues are tough to use by default, so having an item that automatically causes frost trails and provide extra damage is a huge boon in Diablo 4.

With the Penitent Greaves equipped, you will leave behind a trail of frost that Chills enemies. Along with the trail, the greaves will also allow you to deal more damage to Chilled enemies. The percentage of extra damage provided will depend on the gear level and the scaling on your stats. It’s even more of a reason to play on World Tier 4 and get those Ancestral drops.
