How to Get the M1911 Old Earth Pistol in Starfield

Nothing like the classics.

Starfield has a ton of weapons to choose from, with most having some form of futuristic look. Even when they’re trying to be old-school, you can tell there’s that touch of futuristic flair. While those guns are all well and good, there’s something about the modern-day classics that just hits different. One such weapon is the classic M1911 Pistol. Thankfully, Bethesda decided to include some of that. Here’s how to get the M1911, also known as the Old Earth Pistol, in Starfield.

The easiest way to get an Old Earth Pistol in Starfield is to purchase one from a vendor. The two most common places to buy guns are going to be the Centaurian Arsenal in New Atlantis, and Rowland Arms in Akila City. Rowland Arms tends to sell older arms, so you’ll want to check there for the pistol. If it isn’t in her shop, no need to worry. Just sit down at the stool next to her counter and wait 24 in-game hours, then check her shop again. You may need to do this a few times for the Old Earth Pistol to appear. From there, it’s as simple as buying it.

If you’re a bit strapped for cash, then the only way to get an Old Earth Pistol is to pick it up off a dead body. This comes with a lot of randomness, so it’s ill-advised unless you’re already dealing with a ton of enemies.

Excluding some variation due to different variants of the Old Earth Pistol, the weapon takes .45 Caliber ammunition. It also offers a decent mag size, fire rate, reload speed, and a low Mass value. It even offers four mod slots, if you want to throw your own twist on it. As for if you should bring it to your arsenal, I’ve used it a bit and would suggest it. Despite it being about 400 years old, it’s a great pistol that packs a real punch.
