How to Get Star Dust in Hades 2

Star Dust is one of the rarest ingredients in Hades 2 and one of the newer elements added by Supergiant Games in the sequel. Star Dust is one of the many items directly involved with the newly added Chaos Trials. Here’s how to get Star Dust in Hades 2.

How to Find Star Dust in Hades 2

Once you’ve completed the early game, you’ll be able to unlock the Chaos Trials. This process takes time as there are specific prerequisites. The Chaos Trials can be broken down into separate challenges. Whenever you complete a particular trial for the first time, you’ll be rewarded with Star Dust.

Additionally, the Wretched Broker also starts to sell Star Dust (once again, you’ll have to clear at least one run of Chaos Trials). You can buy one unit in exchange for 800 bones, so the price is pretty steep. Hence, completing the Chaos Trials is an excellent way to get Star Dust. However, each trial has specific stipulations, and some of them are extremely difficult in that sense.

How to Unlock Chaos Trials in Hades 2

You’ll need access to Chaos Trials to obtain a noticeable portion of Star Dust. Here are the steps to take to gain access.

  • Brew the Abyssal Night incantation, which unlocks the Pitch-Black Stone in Training Grounds.

Unfortunately, it’s not entirely clear at what point Chaos hands you the recipe required to craft this incantation. You’ll definitely have to interact several times with Chaos. Many players have reported that they had unlocked all five nocturnal arms and brewed the incantation required to unlock aspects. Additionally, handing Nectar gifts to Chaos can also help (although it’s unknown if this is a mandatory requirement).

Here’s the recipe for the Abyssal Night incantation:

  • 2x Fate Fabric – Buy from Wretched Broker
  • 2x Pearl – Scylla and Siren drops
  • 2x Moly – Found in Erebus
  • 2x Nightshade—These must be grown in your garden. The seeds are available in Erebus, and they require the Silver Spade tool.

At first, three different Chaos Trials will be available for you to complete. As you complete them, more trials will be unlocked, and they tend to be more challenging.
