I’m somewhat guilty of whipping out a Pal Sphere at the slightest movement in the tall grass, catching my 20th Lamball. So, if you’re anything like me, you must learn how to get rid of your Pals in Palworld.

How to Get Rid of Pals in Palworld

When it comes time to get rid of Pals in Palworld, you have multiple options, including the nuclear option, which involves slaughtering and eating your former workforce or selling them off to a trader at one of the small settlements scattered about the island. It’s totally up to you which path you choose, of course!

If you decide your camp requires sustenance, then you must unlock the Meat Cleaver at Level 12 and then craft one at a workbench:

  • 5x Ingots
  • 20x Wood
  • 5x Stone

With the Meat Cleaver, you can cut down owned Pals and use their meat to feed everyone else. Yeah, it’s pretty dark but necessary in an unforgiving survival world.

How to Sell Pals in Palworld

But if you want the more humane approach to ridding yourself of a Pal menace, visit a settlement to find a Pal Trader. They will buy your unwanted Pals for a small sum, usually a little over 100 gold apiece, netting you a tidy profit.

Of course, there’s no telling where your Pals wind up from a lore perspective when you sell them off, but they’re now out of sight, out of mind. Plus, you have cash in hand.

You can then visit the Wandering Trader just down the path to purchase key supplies or hats, like my Witch Hat.

If you’d rather not eat or sell your Pals, there’s a third option that players sometimes overlook altogether, despite it being the simplest option of them all. You can use them to work in a factory, producing weapons and other goods for you to sell. After all, that’s one of the main selling points of the game.
