Plaworld players can unlock Plasteel at level 50 by spending two Technology Points. The new resource was added with the Sakurajima update, so players already at the level should see it in the technology menu.

Plasteel cannot be found in the environment but must be crafted with an Electric Furnace. The machine can be unlocked at level 46 and is necessary for crafting other ingots for a good amount of gear in the game.

Crafting one Plasteel requires five Crude Oil, five Paldium fragments, and 10 Ore alongside a Fire Pal to heat up the furnace at the base. The hardest element to get for late-game players will be the new Crude Oil, which requires players to build another base just to extract it from the environment.

Like the Pal Metal Ingot before it, Plasteel is required for some of the late-game gear and weaponry that players will find at level 50 and beyond. Players already at level 50 can get the Plasteel Armor that boasts much higher defense alongside resistance to both heat and cold.

The next item players players should get is the Ultimate Sphere at level 51, which is as close to the Master Ball from Pokemon as possible. There are other weapons players can wield after level 50, including the Flamethrower, Gatling Gun, and Laser Rifle.

The last pieces of gear players should get with Plasteel are the Ultra Shield and Lightweight Plasteel Armor at level 55. The latter significantly boosts defense, provides temperature resistance, and even increases carrying capacity to hold more inventory for yourself.
