Moon Dust is a resource found in Hades 2 much deeper into the game that players will not even be able to get until purchasing a specific upgrade. It is invaluable for making Melinoë much stronger, so here is how to get Moon Dust in Hades 2.
How to Find Moon Dust in Hades 2
Moon Dust must first be unlocked in Hades 2 by purchasing the Consecration of Ashes Incantation from the Caldron. The recipe will cost six Fate Fabric, six Ash, and one Cinder.
The incantation will give players three Moon Dust to start with. There are a few other ways to get more, such as simply buying it from the Wretched Broker for 80 Bones each.
Another method is to craft it from the Cauldron in the Moonlit Essence recipes. There are two of the same recipe with one requiring Cinder and Shadow, while the other needs Star Dust earned from Chaos Trials.
The final method is through Charon, the other merchant in the game. Charon’s Gold Rewards chest will offer eight Moon Dust for four Obol Points. An Obol Point is earned every time 1,000 coins are spent in his hop during runs. Players can also get Moon Dust from Charon’s shop itself during a run, but it can be random and is not reliable.
How to Use Moon Dust in Hades 2
Moon Dust is used in Hades 2 to upgrade your Arcana cards at the Altar of Ashes and make them stronger. Called Insights, players will not have the ability until they craft the Consecration of Ashes Incantation.
For example, spending two Moon Dust on The Titan Arcana card will increase your health and magic even more. This will come in handy in the higher difficulties once your Grasp has been upgraded and you can equip more Arcana cards, so you can stack bonuses.
