Where to Find Golden Plumes in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7)

In FF7 Rebirth, Golden Plumes are collected by fixing broken Chocobo Stops and wrangling new Chocobos in each region. You’ll obtain your first Golden Plumes when you successfully wrangle Piko, your very first Chocobo in the Grasslands region. From there, it’s all about exploration.

After learning how to ride your Chocobo and being able to call Piko at your will, you can explore the Grasslands region for broken Chocobo Stops. You’ll know you’re near one if you’re encountered by a baby Chocobo who will gleefully lead you to the nearest Stop. When you arrive, dismount from Piko and interact with the fallen Chocobo sign to lift it back up. Each sign fixed will reward you with one Golden Plume.

Once a Chocobo Stop is fixed, it can be used as a fast travel point.

What are Golden Plumes Used For?

Golden Plumes can be used to purchase various goods from Chocobo Vendors, such as attire for your Chocobo. The first Chocobo Vendor you’ll encounter is Chloe at Bill’s Ranch in the Grasslands. For two Golden Plumes each, you can purchase the 3-piece Shinra Avian set.

To equip your new Chocobo sets, access a Chocoboutique like the one near Chloe. You can mix and match pieces from various sets and even change the colors of each piece.

Treat your Chocobos well, and they’ll often return the favor. Check out how to find treasure while riding your Chocobo in FF7 Rebirth.
