How to Get and Use the Shotgun in Lethal Company

The double-barreled shotgun is the first firearm added to Lethal Company. It is one of the rare items that gives you a fighting chance against some of the enemies you encounter. Here’s how to get and use the shotgun in Lethal Company.

How to Find the Shotgun in Lethal Company

For now, Shotgun can be found only on The Nutcracker, the monster added in the same update 45. The Nutcracker is carrying it with the intent of killing you and your crewmates. There are two ways to get the shotgun from the Nutcracker:

• By stealing it from the Nutcracker by pressing “E” when prompted to do so. This is risky though, as the Nutcracker might be more dangerous with its instant-killing melee attacks.
• By taking it from its cold dead hands after you and your crewmates bash him with your shovels, stop signs, and yield signs. The Nutcracker can take about half a dozen blows, so make them count.

How to Use the Shotgun in Lethal Company

After you pick up the shotgun from The Nutcracker, you should also check for ammo dropped around its dead body. Usually, you’ll get two shells. In the top-right part of your screen, you will see a few tooltips while having the shotgun equipped:

• Q – Put safety on/off
• E – Reload
• G – Drop Shotgun
• Mouse 1 – Shoot

How to Get Ammo for The Shotgun in Lethal Company

You can only get more shotgun shells by killing more Nutcrackers. If Zeekerss decides to add random ammo pickups in the Facilities, we’ll update you through this guide.

Should I Sell An Empty Shotgun For Profit at the Company Moon?

This game is about rationing your resources, whether they are Credits, tools, or weapons. If you have an empty shotgun, you may consider selling it, as the only way to get more ammo is to kill another Nutcracker.

What Enemies Can I Kill With The Shotgun in Lethal Company?

You can kill the following monsters with the Shotgun:

• The Nutcracker
• Thumper
• Mask-possessed crewmate
• Bracken
• Spider (make sure to check out the Arachnophobia mode)
• Hoarding Bug
• Snare Flea

You cannot kill the following monsters with the Shotgun, to the best of my knowledge:

• Jeb
• Hygrodere
• Ghost Girl
• Coil-Head
• Forest Keeper
• Jester
• Eyekless Dog
